Edinburgh Weavers 'Kalabu' Curtains
Created by Edinburgh Weavers during the 1950’s - 1960’s, the design ‘Kalabu’ is made from a cotton/linen mix in a pattern of grey, brown and black forms.
This fabric came from an original unused bolt and was domestcally laundered before being cut to make these curtains.
They are fully lined with cotton sateen and an example of the ‘Kalabu’ design is held in the V&A’s collection.
